We started Trace because building hardware is harder than it needs to be. The tools haven't changed much in decades, and the workflow is still manual and mostly stuck behind expensive licenses making it impossible for small teams to afford them.
Trace sits at the design layer for hardware teams. We handle the full PCB design workflow—from initial concept through circuit block diagram, schematic capture, datasheet parsing, component selection, placement, layout, routing, DRC, and Gerber export.
The idea is simple: let specialized AI agents handle the redundant steps so you can focus on what matters—the actual design decisions.
We're built on KiCad, so there's no ramp-up time. It feels familiar, but automated. Versionable, traceable, and fast.
We're shipping soon. A first look is coming.
